SOIN LOVE WITH PAINT…

paint
When I first started applying makeup the MUA who helped me used paint instead of a paint pot or shadestick as my base. The MUA did an amazing job with my eye makeup, so I ended up buying everything she applied, of course! However, when I got home and tried the same look I couldn’t do it. =( When I applied the paint on my lid it looked clumpy and un-even. Now that I think about it, I’m sure it wasn’t a problem with the product but more with the user. It was just Fugly, and I haven’t used it since. Everytime I saw the paint tube buried under all my other makeup products, I just thought about the money I wasted. BUT all that has changed! Sarah the MUA at the San Francisco MAC Pro store shed a different light on the paint product. I was in awe at how smooth her eyeshadow looked. She said she LOVES paint and that’s all she really uses. I was re-inspired to go home and give my paint tube another try. I’m so happy I did! This time around my eyeshadow applied on so smooth, and looked great. I think that what changed from the first time I used paint is 1) I know more about application, 2) I used my fingers to apply the paint versus a 217 brush, and 3) I applied it over UDPP. I’m going to try and do a comparison photo sometime soon. I’m definitely going to continue using paint going forward, and will probably expand my paint collection. **giggles**

So … I made another trip to the M.A.C. store today to return a couple of the products I purchased last weekend. Today was the release of the new Beauty Powder Blushes. There are a few great colors in the new collection, and the texture of the blush was so smooth and silky. So the makeup addict that I’ve become I ended up purchasing two blushes from the collection. Since I didn’t get Hipness and Fashion Frenzy from the Fafi collection, I got something similar from the BPB collection, Sweetness and Joyous. I can’t wait to try my new blushes O_o! While I was at the mall I decided to make a few more beauty stops .. hehehe. I went to Sephora and I finally purchased the Shu Uemura eyelash curler. I also made a trip to The Body Shop and I got the Camomile Waterproof Eye Make-Up Remover. I saw a tutorial with this girl using this product and when she was done she didn’t have raccoon eyes. So I’ll see how this works for me.

I’m making a trip to SoCal this weekend so I plan on doing a couple looks using my sisters as my models. I’m hoping I’ll have something up next week. I’ve been looking through several magazines, catalogs and FOTDs from beauty blogs, and I’ve got alot of looks I want to try out. =)

I can’t believe it’s almost Friday! This week flew by way too fast. Didn’t it?

Until our next post,
