The above photo is from our second photo shoot with my sister, Sheryl. I absolutely love this photo – it’s just so simple and invokes sexy cool. Kind of reminds me of a Guess ad. Unfortunately, I can’t recall what colors I used on her. This is the main reason why I started my blog, so that I could keep track of what I used. I’d love to recreate this look, but will now need to start from scratch.
My Fiance and I had a flight down to LA last Friday night at 8:40pm out of San Jose, so we were at the airport by 7pm. We always drive ourselves to the airport and we just park the car in the long term parking. We find this so much more useful, and sometimes a lot less expensive than grabbing a cab. So as we’re waiting for a shuttle to take us from the parking lot to the gates, we see about 3 Employee Shuttles pass us by. Not one of those shuttles stop to pick us up, although there’s plenty of room on the shuttle and the Employee shuttle stops at every stop along the airport terminal. By the time our long term shuttle arrives, it’s PACKED!!!!! Packed with travelers and their large suitcases, and since there’s only been one this whole time, everyone is on this bus! Not only are there travelers on this bus, so are the EMPLOYEES! WTF?! This totally pisses me off. I don’t understand why we can’t ride on the employee shuttles, but employee’s can ride on the long term shuttle and take up space! I’ve been meaning to submit a comment and inform them of my unhappiness with their service. Of course they don’t make these comment or suggestion boxes available anywhere at the airport, which means I’ll need to do some internet searching. *big sigh*
Anyway to make a long long story short, our 8:40pm flight was delayed to 10:05pm which would get us into LA by 11:15pm. Arrrgghhh …. so we asked to be put on the Saturday 8:20am flight, because we were both just too tired and did not want to wait. We later found out that our Friday night flight ended up getting cancelled. Thank goodness we decided to switch flights early on!
So since we didn’t really arrive until Saturday morning there really wasn’t enough time to do a mini shoot with my sisters. Boo!!!! Oh well, we’ll make up for it the next time we’re down there.
Ohhhhhh .. The Heatherette release is rapidly approaching .. and I can’t wait! I have plans on making a trip to the MAC store this Thursday. I don’t want to make the same mistake I made with the Fafi collection. =P
