Woohoo! The Heatherette collection was released last Thursday (03/20) and this time I was ready! I called M.A.C the night before the release and spoke with an MUA and placed an order. Yes, I know this may sound pathetic … and I AGREE … hahaha! I was so dissappointed with myself when the FAFI collection was released, I didn’t want the same to happen again. So … I checked out tons of beauty blogs that had swatches from the Heatherette collection on their sites, and made a list of things I wanted. I’m totally laughing at myself as I’m writing this – It’s just too funny. Whats happened to me? This time last year I think I owned a total of 10 pieces of makeup. Only the essentials were in my makeup bag, wait, did I even own a makeup bag? Hahaha .. but seriously, I’ve got tons of makeup, more than I know what to do with. My Fiance would love for this makeup addiction to slow down a bit, and I’m sure he’s right! So I’m begging M.A.C., please stop coming out with these irresistable collections … you’re gettin’ me in trouble. LOL! I refuse to take all the blame for this insane addiction.

I decided against getting the Beauty Powders, I really didn’t think I needed it. Did you guys get any of the Heatherette Beauty Powders? What do you think of ‘em? I’m starting to regret my decision .. arrgghhh!
I was bummed that they didn’t release any paint pots with this collection. Although, I’m sure in the end it was better for me and my wallet. I can’t wait to get started on some looks!! The MUA convinced me to buy Melrose Mood l/s & Starlet Kiss l/g she said this color was fabulous! I’m still unsure about it, but wanna try it out with Sock Hop l/g on top. She showed me this combo and it looked great, kinda like a sunset color. It was really pretty.
I know I haven’t really posted an FOTD in awhile. Honestly it’s because I’ve been so busy with work & have not had the time to really create anything. I do have tons of photos from past mini photo shoots with my sisters, but I honestly can’t recall what I used on them. Guhhh! Oh well, I guess I’ll still post ‘em so I can share with everyone. I’ll try and list what I used from what I can remember, but I apolgize in advance if I can’t correctly identify the colors used.
So since I don’t have a makeup photo (aside from my haul above) to post. I’ll leave you all with the cute photo (above) I took of my baby cousin Annika while I was down in LA for the Easter weekend. Isn’t she just adorable. She’ll be one of my makeup models when she grows up. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing for her. **giggles**
I hope everyone else was able to make a trip to their nearest M.A.C. store to look at and purchase a few pieces from the Heatherette collection. Can’t wait to hear what you guys thought of the collection.
I personally LOVE IT! The packaging is much better than the FAFI collection.
