The Japanese architects are BANANAS! This has to be one of the most awesome tree-house/restaurant/architectural feats I’ve ever seen. Located in the Banyan Town shopping center in Okinawa, Japan the restaurant towers over the adjacent buildings and the parking lots. Just look at the sheer size of that thing. The attention to detail is mind-boggling. It’s like some freak accident of nature or maybe it’s the Jack and the Beanstalk fable incarnate and reinterpreted for practical means. I always wanted a tree-house as a kid. But, we didn’t have a backyard big enough, nor did we ever have a tree to build one on or in. Anyways, if I ever get to travel to Japan I’m eating here.
