It was a great weekend. The weather was awesome in SF. We got to see family and friends that attended my nephews Baptism mass and celebration. As always people showed up to the reception that didn’t attend the ceremony. I’ve always wondered what that’s about. “We can’t sit through the mass, but we can definitely make time to sit at the dinner table.” I guess as long as family is with family then it’s all good.
The food being served was pretty good. Traditional Filipino dishes buffet style at the Manila Star restaurant in Westborough/Daly City. Got a little annoyed by the fact that buffet for this restaurant meant that you had to wipe off your used plate in order to get seconds. Yeah, no joke. My cousin and I started making a dump pile for everyone that wanted to get more food. Pretty lame, but oh well. At one point I asked for another set of utensils because the waitress had taken away the fork and spoon I set aside and she had the nerve to get all rude about it. Like folding a napkin around a set of utensils was some type of inconvenience for her. Knock, knock…we’re at a buffet, stupid. Maybe it was truly traditional and she expected me to just start using my hands. I guess good help really is hard to find.
Anyways, Congratulations again AJ! Boy does he look beat. Much love…
