…it’s all good though, ‘cuz I been a little busy. Some new things (closeup images) going to the silk screeners next week. I gotta put the blast on some people that have been slackin’ on these posts. Hahaha…y’all know who you is/are, so don’t go hiding or start getting bad reception on that celly. Nah, that’s all in fun. People have just been busy. Though our minds are NA full time, the dollars still come from punching in time cards.

A lot of folks have been askin’ wassup with them shirts? When you gonna start selling them? How can I get one? Why is it taking so long? and Yada-yada-yada etc. All valid questions that will be answered within the coming months. The reactions to the two shirts that a few lucky people have been spotted wearing have been really positive, which is a good thing. I guess that means we’re doing something right. We’re really pushing to get the other two shirts in this “set” done, that means silk-screened, packaged and labeled, photographed and set up properly on the shop site. Some folks been wondering why we don’t just sell the shirts already and the honest truth is that I don’t want only one shirt up on the shop site. That would look pretty lame. Think about going into a shop that sells only one style hat, shoe or bag etc. I doubt you would be back to that shop for awhile after seeing the selection. See what I mean?

I like the idea of “sets” or “packs” of things, so I’ve felt this need from the very beginning to always create a set of shirts to sell. It’s like the collector’s frenzy when new figurines, are released. You gotta get them all, even the special ones that glow in the dark or have reflective eyeballs. The down side for me has been that the idea of “sets” complicates things. I don’t know how many times I’ve felt done with a design only to design the next shirt and then feel compelled to redesign the previous shirt that I already said was done, just because they didn’t “feel” right together. Ain’t that a bitch!? It’s my achilles heel, but I believe it forces me to create a better if not more creative design. I love art and I love illustrating so I plan on doing more of that as these shirts and the designs progress. Until then, we’re gonna finish this set and get that damn shop up…yeeEEE!

Gonna be in LA again this weekend for a baptismal celebration. Should be fun. FAM x FOOD + PARTY = GOOD TIMES.

Later,
GREEDY

KIDROBOT MUNNYWORLD MEGACONTEST’S “MOST INNOVATIVE”

I know I’m a little late posting this considering the fact that it’s been about a week since I received word that my MunnyWorld MegaContest entry, ELEVATE, was the overall winner in the “Most Innovative” category. It’s not “Best of Show” but I can’t hate on the overall winner, his work was dope and really [...]

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM: PAINT & FINISH

I think that the hardest part about creating this Munny is that in the end I have to give it away. I consider that my love hate relationship with myself. I’m not too worried about it though because PROJECT RUN LIKE MIKE will have a happy home…

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM: PRIMER & PINHOLES

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM: PRIMER & PINHOLES

I’m pretty happy with the sculpting and sanding of the pieces I added to the munny thus far, so I’m moving on to the first stage of primer. I use this first stage to expose the pinholes that are difficult to see in the finished clay. See the detailed images after the jump…

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM (IMAGE UPDATE)

Added additional sculpey pieces to shape out the character wardrobe a bit. Some designers just paint this stuff on and that’s cool too. I think that adding a slight bit of dimension whether it’s in the face, the hair or clothing gives it that extra “COOL FACTOR” and we all love cool. More images after the jump…

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM

I got asked to break open a new box of Sculpey and start creating a custom munny that should be completed this week. It’s a fairly simple custom and I’m pretty meticulous about getting edges crisp and plane surfaces smooth so a couple hits with the sandpaper and this should be good for primer. I’ll post more images as I move along…

So the BP screw up still isn’t fixed and it doesn’t seem like anyone has a f*ckin’ clue how to stop the environmental disaster.
