NA LIFE
99 CENT STORE MAKES ME SAY…WTF?!

I was going through the images on my cellphone when I came across a couple that just made me laugh. These were taken recently at a 99 cent store. We weren’t in there too long, I think I just grabbed some candy, while PINK and BADONKEYKONG grabbed some other random stuff. Anyways, I’ve posted some of the interesting things I saw in the short amount of time we were in there. I’m sure there are more of these “limited edition” items that I have yet to come across…

99 Cent

HAhahahahaHAHAHAHhahahaha… Wait, Lemme see that again… Hahahahahahahahahaha… Dear God… hahahahahhahaha… Man, this is just wrecked up. Some gigs just shouldn’t be worth doing. I’m sure this guy is just a struggling model trying to make a dollar and add some things to his modeling portfolio, but damn homie. How they gonna twist this all up and ask him to get flipsy on one side and ready to rumble on the other?! This just ain’t right. This either ends a career or pops up when he makes it big. Hahaha…I’ll pass on this headband/wristband set. Any takers? Only 99 Cents!

99 Cent

There is something really, really wrong with both of these items. It should not take you long to figure it out…

There must be some confusion with the creator of the product on the left. “HIP-HOP?” WTF are they talking about? Does that look like hip-hop? I realize that hip-hop has gone mainstream, hell, every product and service can’t help but try and make a “connection” to the youth by bastardizing hip-hop in their advertisements, but this is just stupid.

The product on the right is just wack. I don’t get why they took some poor guys high school photo and photoshopped on the Tiger 2-Tone Du-Rag with built in visor onto his head. If this isn’t a stereotype than I don’t know what is. I’m laughin’ because I’m completely confused. What is a 2-Tone Visor Du-Rag wearin’ homie doing underwater? I don’t know what the packaging designer was thinking, but the bubbles in the background aren’t helping to sell this product. Hahahahaha…again, that’s wrecked up.

Anyways, I hope you all had a good weekend.

Later,
GREEDY

KIDROBOT MUNNYWORLD MEGACONTEST’S “MOST INNOVATIVE”

I know I’m a little late posting this considering the fact that it’s been about a week since I received word that my MunnyWorld MegaContest entry, ELEVATE, was the overall winner in the “Most Innovative” category. It’s not “Best of Show” but I can’t hate on the overall winner, his work was dope and really [...]

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM: PAINT & FINISH

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM: PAINT & FINISH

I think that the hardest part about creating this Munny is that in the end I have to give it away. I consider that my love hate relationship with myself. I’m not too worried about it though because PROJECT RUN LIKE MIKE will have a happy home…

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM: PRIMER & PINHOLES

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM: PRIMER & PINHOLES

I’m pretty happy with the sculpting and sanding of the pieces I added to the munny thus far, so I’m moving on to the first stage of primer. I use this first stage to expose the pinholes that are difficult to see in the finished clay. See the detailed images after the jump…

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM (IMAGE UPDATE)

Added additional sculpey pieces to shape out the character wardrobe a bit. Some designers just paint this stuff on and that’s cool too. I think that adding a slight bit of dimension whether it’s in the face, the hair or clothing gives it that extra “COOL FACTOR” and we all love cool. More images after the jump…

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM

N.A. STUDIO – PROJECT RLM

I got asked to break open a new box of Sculpey and start creating a custom munny that should be completed this week. It’s a fairly simple custom and I’m pretty meticulous about getting edges crisp and plane surfaces smooth so a couple hits with the sandpaper and this should be good for primer. I’ll post more images as I move along…

THE BP OIL DISASTER

So the BP screw up still isn’t fixed and it doesn’t seem like anyone has a f*ckin’ clue how to stop the environmental disaster.
