PINK and I have been on this crazy, fiending binge lately. We love the yogurt craze that’s happening. Everywhere you look you see a new yogurt place popping up like it just so happens that the seeds planted during the Starbucks cafe boom finally started sprouting. A more than welcome change because the frappuccino and jamba juice thing was getting pretty old. Don’t get us wrong, we still get our fix from both places, but the this yogurt thing has been out of control.
Recently, Pink and I were introduced to 2 new up and coming dessert stops. The first being Monster Desserts , San Mateo and the second being Blush, Dublin. It’s like a whole new world for us. Why? Shaved Ice drenched in condensed milk…that’s why. I have to admit though that they are both just rips of the original Halo-Halo of the Philippines, but still good nonetheless. Biggest difference between the two: Yogurt. Blush includes a huge mountain of yogurt topping the shaved ice and it’s 4 additional toppings ($6.50). Monster also has the 4 toppings but no yogurt to include over your shaved ice ($5.50). It’s still a rip considering it’s just ICE/WATER/AGUA etc, but I guess when you’re hooked, you’re hooked. Biggest downside for us is that they are both quite a distance away. They are however two new stops for PINK & GREEDY.
Later,
GREEDY
